Your conservator has done a terrific job and has given us a sympathetically restored picture with invisible repairs, and she’s done an excellent job on the sitter’s clothing and background. Full credit too for recommending a suitable frame and engraved plate, which together serve to finish it off a treat. The restoration made an excellent present for my wife: reviving one of her ancestors from the 1780s. This brings the whole thing to life.
